origin-ating

is a work in progress.

the word ‘origin’ in German, literally means ‘to leap into existence.’

It’s being made with the woods with Rachel Elderkin (dancer), Jocelyn West (violinist), Adam Benjamin (choreographer) and Hayley Matthews (dancer). And adapts with tree, wind, light, bird, witness. And will with other woodlands.

It has an essence and a form and is a shape-shifter.

It comes from the silence of being with, and struggles into being, like we do, springing then into rest, lift and togetherness.

In the process the team erupted in equal power, power to direct, to move, to listen, to be silent, to ‘sing’.
